This summer the students of BVCC going into grades 9-12 will have
the opportunity to participate in an amazing mission to Ensenada,
Mexico. We will be working with the worldwide missions organization,
Youth
With A Mission. The students will participate in a ten day Mission
Adventures program, receiving both practical training, spirtual preparation,
and hands-on opportunities to serve the people of Ensenada. The students
will be involved in a variety of ministries during their time in Mexico.
Evangelism and Mercy Ministry: "Each year thousands of
people from all over Mexico and Central America move into the Northern
Baja region. Many are poor indigenous Native peoples who have migrated
to work in the fertile farms and fields located in the Baja".
Our group will minister in the Ensenada area.
This trip is designed for groups who desire a greater challenge and
want to venture further south into the Baja. Our team will be hosted
by Youth With A Mission staff who will provide outreach contacts and
evangelistic opportunities through networking with various local churches
and Christian ministries.
Homes of Hope: The team will build a home for a needy and
deserving family in the Ensenada area. The homes cost $4,850 and are
16 x 20 feet, including a concrete slab, electrical wiring, interior
sheetrock, exterior siding, three windows and a door. Skilled labor
or construction experience is not required and each student will play
a hands-on role in the construction process.
Cost: Approximately $1,000 per person. There will be a number
of fundraisers leading up to the trip to help subsidize the cost for
each student.
