1st through 6th Grades
Sunday, 9 AM Class: This is a time of Bible Study and fellowship
until 10:45 A.M. Their teachers and support team members use GROUP's
Faithweaver and Mark Harper Ministries curriculum to help apply God's
truths to everyday life. Their offerings go to support a child in Mexico
through World Vision.
Summer Curriculum: Beloved Disciple is a children's study of
what the Apostle John learned about God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit
during his lifetime. It covers from the first call of Jesus to be fishers
of men to the Revelation of the marriage supper in heaven. The children
will view video segments that will take them to actual sites where John,
the Beloved Disciple, lived outside of the Holy Land. The curriculum
is based on the adult study by Beth Moore, featuring her in the video
along with real live kids. Each child will receive a binder with daily
devotionals and readings that the parents can participate in with the
child. There is a reward system for those who attend, bring their binder
and Bible, and learn their memory verses. Tickets will be given and
prizes will be able to be "purchased" each week.
Sunday, 11 AM Service:
K.I.D.S. (Kids in Divine Service) Gospel Light material called
DISCIPLEMAKERS is being taught each week to our K - 4th graders. They
begin at 11 AM in the sanctuary with their parents/caregivers and participate
in corporate Praise & Worship time. There are praise streamers available
for them to celebrate and/or dance with their parents in a mentoring
setting to the left of the platform. They are released to go to the
Fellowship Hall at approximately 11:30. This summer our focus is on
Living My Purpose. . .In the World. . . Above the World . . .For the
World.
Cold Water Club - 5th and 6th graders meet in Room 7 with Wayne
Thowless teaching. This group of young disciples are studying Heroes
of the Faith in the New Testament. They have required assignments through
the quarter. They also assist in the puppet ministry for K.I.D.S. Church
and with games for the younger kids.
