Neil, a New Englander at heart, graduated from The University of New Hampshire with a degree in Engineering and retired from Civil Engineering nearly 30 years later after relocating finally to the Boise area.    Neil was saved in 1974 at the First United Presbyterian Church in Boise where he attended with the founding group of BVCC.  He has served both as an Elder and a Deacon at BVCC prior to becoming a Care Ministry Team Coordinator.  He has a heart for the lost and is gifted in evangelism, hospitality and encouragement. Before meeting Janet he raised 5 children, he confesses for the purpose of acquiring at least 6 grandchildren.  Mission accomplished.   Neil met Janet in a professional setting in 1994 but it wasn’t until 2 years after loosing his late wife that God pinged his heart strings again.  They were married in 2006 and Janet became a grandma.

Janet was born in south Florida and grew up riding horses and spending family time sailing the tropical waters in that area.  She was working her way toward a degree in early childhood education which was interrupted by a move to California in 1977 and raising her two children. After receiving the Lord as her Savior in 1980 Janet’s gifts of hospitality, encouragement, and heart for ministering to the hurting and lost became evident.  She found herself moving to Boise in 1988 and was active in several ministries at Second Baptist Church for 20 years until the Lord led her to a new church home to serve beside her husband, Neil, at BVCC.

Neil and Janet also like to travel and especially enjoy traveling up and down the western United States in their travel trailer visiting their children and grandchildren, as well as reading, walking, and sharing their faith along life’s pathway.
