Jessica spent most of her childhood and adolescence inside the four walls of the church. She was learning, reading, studying, memorizing, teaching and fellowshipping. Now...God is calling her to go outside of those four walls. Jessica is certain that He has prepared her and is giving her grace to do what He has planned

She had the tremendous privilege to work both inside and outside the church building since she was a young teen. From her first short-term missiond trip to Mexico, to teaching Sunday School at BVCC for many years, to being part of a church plant in Rome, Italy, each experienced is treasured and has prepared her for where she is today

Today, Jessica teaches communication courses at a public high school where she is very fulfilled. Although her heart has ached for missions and for reaching those who don't know Jesus since the 7th grade when she saw the poverty in Mexico, God has shown her time and time again that "missions" is just as much local as it is across borders and overseas. She is more dedicated than ever to serve her local community wherever and whenever she can. If that means meeting people in the markets, the schools, the streets, or the bars, she will go outside the church walls, just as Jesus does.
