BVCC Elders...

Montie Ralstin
Lead Pastor/Elder

Montie has served in this role since 1987 when he entered full-time ministry.  He has attended BVCC for more than 30 years.  Montie became a follower of Christ in 1976 at a First Presbyterian Church service during an outpouring of the Holy Spirit.  He was presented the message of new life in Christ and committed his life to the Lord.

Besides pastoring the local church, another of Montie’s greatest passions is serving and ministering with other pastors in the Treasure Valley of Idaho.  He serves as a co-convener for Mission America’s Pacific Northwest City Impact Roundtable that meets annually in Portland, Oregon.  The CIR brings together city-reaching teams from the region to share how the Gospel is impacting their communities with the love of Christ.  Montie presently serves as the Chairman of Treasure Valley Festivals whose mission is: “Proclaiming Christ through events and service.”  The group is made up of pastors, marketplace leaders, and serving ministries from around the Treasure Valley.  Treasure Valley Festivals serves as the umbrella for Treasure the Valley, the local expression of a national movement called Loving Our Communities to Christ – promoting a lifestyle of Prayer, Care and Share in our churches and communities.  He also serves on the United States board of Mission Aviation Fellowship www.maf.org. He has been actively involved in the Boy Scouts of America for over 50 years and serves on the Ore-Ida Scout Council’s Advisory Board.

Montie graduated with a degree in Business Administration from the University of Idaho.  Previously he owned and operated two commercial building construction companies in Boise.  He served the construction industry as President of the Idaho Branch of the Associated General Contractors and was later made an Honorary Lifetime Member.  He received his Master of Ministry degree from Northwest Nazarene University in 1996.

Montie and his wife Ann have two married daughters and four grandchildren.  He loves spending time with his family.  In the outdoors he pursues fly fishing, hunting, riding his ATV and gathering huckleberries from his various "undisclosed" locations.
