This piece was created during worship at the Celebration of Prayer that was held January 15th & 16th.
"I stepped our in faith and painted this in an act of worship, inspired by the Holy Spirit. It was scary to have my process so exposed but I was blessed in it and I think that others were also blessed to be a part of it. I wasn’t sure what it meant until the end of the process. I came to the canvas Friday night with only a color in mind. When I got stuck God would direct me with a color or shape to go to next. This was a prayer-filled process. There are portions of the canvas I still do not completely understand, but I know a general story line.
The hand is representative of our individual hands. God is asking us to let go of the little things that grind at us that we have been holding on to and they will be washed away. We are then invited by Him to walk through the doorway on a path with Him that is beyond our imaginations. Our hearts will overflow with goodness. Our path is just for us yet it intersects and is interwoven with others. Will you go there with Him?"
